My entropy seems broken [Solved]

Postby ElDuderino » Mon Dec 16, 2013 9:42

Hi,

when I issue 'equo i equo entropy', I get the following. Notice the "No such file or directory" errors regarding entropy related directories.

There isn't a file called "equo" - that is the first error message.

Have you tried this as a starter?

Code: Select all
equo install entropy --relaxed

The perks of running sabayon-limbo I guess :-)
Just update Entropy...

I'm running indeed limbo, but the updates come from sabayonlinux.org (which also has app-admin/equo, btw), so I don't understand. Are entropy and equo going to be merged into one package?

Just installing 'entropy' as described still pulls in 'equo' package, and gives me the same error. For clarification, 'equo --version' gives me 249.

I have two machines running Sabayon and limbo is activated on both. Both are continiusly updated, but only one gives me the error. The other one is fine and up-to-date.

You can workaround the problem by temporarily removing all the mirror URLs in /etc/entropy/repositories.conf.d/entropy_sabayon-limbo

Thanks,

I took your advice a little further and disabled limbo completely, upgraded entropy/equo and the rest, re-enabled limbo, and now it's all working!

Just wonder what the cause was ...

Or you could have disabled multifetch (the multifetch module was affected by the bug) inside /etc/entropy/client.conf.

Btw these are the two commits that fixed the problem:
https://github.com/Sabayon/entropy/comm ... 2175ec9dd9
https://github.com/Sabayon/entropy/comm ... 1b53e18adc

entropy is installed into /usr/lib/entropy/

Just FYI
