Weird equo error: [...]/ebuild.sh: No such file or directory

Hi all,

recently I noticed strange errors popping up whenever I try to install a package using equo. For example:

Code: Select all
$sudo equo install nvidia-drivers

As you can see there are some scripts (ebuild.sh and misc-functions.sh, which are actually located in /usr/lib/portage/bin/) that are not found. Why Is equo looking for those scripts in the python lib directory?

I recently had a power failure, after which I had to run fsck from a live cd to get sabayon to boot properly. However this has happened to me before without such weird effects. I was not updating the system at the time and I wasn't installing anything. I'm not aware I messed with any python-related global settings recently. I did install a package via portage/emerge following the instructions from the wiki though. No idea if I did something wrong there but this error seems unrelated to this.

I don't know a lot about entropy or portage, and I couldn't find anything similar with google, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out what's wrong.

I did, but since this is probably not a bug but a failure on my side I'd appreciate any insights in where this might come from.

It seems this error has somehow resolved itself. I'll update if it comes up again.
