equo update database "returns nothing?" [Solved]

Postby anomaly65 » Fri Nov 30, 2012 3:29

Hi all,

normal weekly updates I usually keep a couple systems up to date. Running (thought so..) on sabayon-weekly. I think this happened about two weeks ago.

Code: Select all
equo update database && equo upgrade --multifetch=10

Now it simply returns (as does "equo update database [--force]"
Code: Select all
server41 ~ # equo update database
>>  @@ Repositories synchronization ...
server41 ~ #

changing to
Code: Select all
equo update database sabayon-weekly --force

Does update the database successfully.

Tried simple "equo install equo entropy" did reinstall those, but no change in "all too quiet" behavior.

Any suggestions welcome of course, systems running fine, but this is a new one....
thanks,
andy

"database" isn't a repository

simply :

Code: Select all
# equo update

or
Code: Select all
# equo update <repository_name>

Example : If you wanto to update sabayon-limbo database only (if enabled)
Code: Select all
# equo update sabayon-limbo

see also :
Code: Select all
# man equo

or
Code: Select all
# equo --help

thanks, it ("equo update database") formerly worked, and updated all active repository databases in a single command. I'll work with the new plan :-)

Cheers,
andy
