Code: Select all

http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/sabayonlinux/entropy|

Does not work, should be

Code: Select all

http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/sabayon/entropy|

The fastest mirror for me is not on the current list for the weekly repository, it is

Code: Select all

http://mirror.optusnet.com.au/sabayon/entropy|

When I run

Code: Select all

equo repo mirrorsort sabayon-weekly

9 of the mirrors on the current list do not work, when I have time I will try to find out why, for example

Code: Select all

ftp://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/SabayonLinux/entropy|

aarnet does not have a Sabayon mirror any longer.

ALL repository mirrors are checked, refreshed, online AND available:

Sabayonlinux.org: 22 mirrors

Sabayon-weekly: 22 mirrors

Sabayon-limbo: 22 mirrors

i think that "best.sabayon.org" "redir.sabayon.org" and "dl.sabayon.org"
are redirecting URL'S to the best mirrors available, 'cause everytime i call them in a browser i get another mirror....

Please, can this be confirmed by anyone, and test this from different countries, if reading this?
If a mirror doesn't seem to work, please report back. Thank you....

Because it was asked today on the mailinglist again: This is the current repository list.

It wasn't when I tried to install Spinbase 13.

To see which repository you are currently using:

Code: Select all

# equo repo list
For example:

Code: Select all

# equo repo list
* sabayon-weekly
    Sabayon Linux Official Repository
To switch from sabayon-weekly repository to sabayonlinux.org repository:

Code: Select all

# equo repo rename sabayon-weekly sabayonlinux.org && equo update
To switch from sabayonlinux.org repository to sabayon-weekly repository:

Code: Select all

# equo repo rename sabayonlinux.org sabayon-weekly && equo update
To optimise mirrors for the repository you are using and for your location:

Code: Select all

# equo repo mirrorsort <repository>
where repository is "sabayon-weekly" or "sabayonlinux.org" (without the quotes), depending on which you are using.

hmm..
cannot check right now because, my (for now one and only, soon to change i plan) sabayon system is out of my reach (home, will see tonight) but, if i understood correctly, isn't the weekly enabled by default??
i think that i have read somewhere, most probably the wiki, but i could be mistaking due to the sheer amount of all kinds of information from all around that i have consumed in the last week while preparing for and during my first install, that "the weekly repo IS the only one, if not specifically set up otherwise" or something like that..
