Python module Scrapy Installation [Solved]

Postby chasha420 » Sat Apr 23, 2011 5:55

Hi, I wanted to know how I can install the Gentoo package "dev-python/scrapy" from Portage or should I request that this package be introduced in Entropy? My primary package manager is Entropy & I would appreciate it if anyone could suggest how it can be installed from Portage.

EDIT:

Also while searching for whether a new request has been filed under such category I've found something like this:

Status: REOPENED, NEW, ASSIGNED, UNCONFIRMED
Product: dev-python/scrapy
Component: dev-python/scrapy
Alias: dev-python/scrapy
Summary: dev-python/scrapy
Whiteboard: dev-python/scrapy
Content: "dev-python/scrapy"

I'm not really sure what the above meant, may be it's indicating that it has already been requested/considered?

Thanks.

EDIT:

Well I've managed to install it using Python, sorry I forgot that it could be done like that.
