"merge all" means replace all the old config files with the new ones
I believe that explains merge all
delete all means to delete the files

If you look at
http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php? ... t_to_do.3Fscroll down to "Hopefully now you are ready to start the updating process." and if you keep reading you will find this
viewtopic.php?f=76&t=16399then scroll down to "and always always always" and stop reading when you get to "3/25/09 Update"
