Linux 2.6.31-sabayon #1 SMP Fri Sep 25 19:21:17 UTC 2009 i686 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
I sat down at my computer today and magneto was telling me I had a download of 254 (!!) packages. Proceeded through the steps, checked everything out in eselect, seemed to be no problems. Ran equo conf update, saved everything I was working on.
Then, upon reboot, I noticed my CPU usage was at 20% and climbing, and for some reason, it refuses to load jpgs now. The sabayon GDM won't load, so it defaults to the blue themed one with the sunflower, and now none of my backgrounds work, it wants everything to be in png format. Firefox is working fine, but I can't load a single image in jpg, not through gimp, f-spot, nothing. Can't change my background and half the time compiz wants to crash to the point IT'S REBOOTING MY SYSTEM on it's own.
What the hell happened?
