The reason why i dont have 4.0 is because i dont have DVD discs, only CD. Unless there is a way of booting it from a 32GB jump drive, which i have.

I checked that file and it is empty. What should i write in it?
you edit the /etc/entropy/repositories.conf , modify only branch|4 with your effective branch.

# example:
# branch|3.5
# or:
# branch|3.6

# Branch default setting
branch|4

Crisandbea --

1)you could try using another PC to install to an external hard drive and then copy the external hard drive partition you install to back to your target partition

2)It will be a lot of work starting from 3.5 mini, but it is possible ...

3)As for the 16 GB usb drive, there is probably a way to make that work -- my largest is 2 GB, so i haven't thought about it

Ok guys fixed the problem:
I used Unetbootin to install sabayon 4.0 full (4GB). It worked and everything works out nice.
