Issues with shared libraries.

Post by The_Document » Mon Feb 12, 2018 9:16

I did a fresh install of KDE amd 64 and ran:

equo update
equo repo mirrorsort sabayon-weekly
equo update
equo conf update
equo deptest
equo libtest

and I STILL had issues with libxfont when starting the X server. I installed libxfont2 and the issue went away, I dont understand why libtest didn't take care of the issue, what should I do to do it properly?

But then KDE didn't work, the login manager would take the username (had no password) and after hitting login it would just freeze and not log in.

I installed sabayon twice, once because of shared lib issue second because I learned about libtest function. I don't want to wait for sabayon to install and update again unless I determine the issue.

You mean preserved libraries maybe...not broken shared libraries

If you have some issue with shared libraries please provide some output

something like ->

Code: Select all

$ sudo equo pl list
Password:
╠ /usr/lib64/libgdbm.so.4.0.0 [libgdbm.so.4:2 -> sys-libs/gdbm-1.13-r2]
