Use theese magic words e. .. Ta-daaan!-> You'll be rolled to 5.5... Welcome in the world of distros so-called rolling!
Code: Select all
equo update --force && equo install entropy --relaxed && equo upgrade

And, if you also want to to upgrade Sabayon's kernel, let me point out this wiki link:

Hope you 'njoy!

Never tried Sabayon on an Acer 6920g before so this is a great moment to give this newest release a spin.
I'm excited (as always with Sabayon releases)

Srsly guys it's time to get some kind of kernel upgrade feature. Following this "simple" instruction of 15 steps is kinda ridiculous (the best part is "writing down" the list of drivers you need to update). It shouldn't be that hard to fend a script that does all this stuff mentioned in automated way. Rolling release is rolling release, that includes kernel. Besides that, great news :)

I'm curious about the reference to Enrico Fermi ...

The reason is because 110 years have been elapsed since its birth?

I like to think instead that the "real" reason is that Sabayon, like Fermi, are precursors of times...
In fact many of the Fermi works have been recognized until many years after their publication, because they contained a too modern approach for their time.

Every release will be probably named after important scientists. I have to admit that we decided that but I forgot to append it to the first version of the PR.
