amd64 works on Intel 64 bit processors as they use the same instruction sets (except the Intel Itanium). Many refer to it as x86_64, which is a more vendor neutral term, but it's the same specification.

Great work!!! :

After 5.3 upgrade the root command:/revdep-rebuild requires /usr/lib/libGL.la resulting in 14 packages to re-emerge. Cross fingers - ok so far.

False positive. (install lafilefixer && lafilefixer --justfixit)
Never run revdep rebuild if you use Entropy by the way.

Thanks. And I get this:

root>install lafilefixer && lafilefixer --justfixit
install: missing destination file operand after `lafilefixer'
Try `install --help' for more information.

Well, did you try 'install --help'? ;)
Tells you the correct syntax for 'install'...and it also tells you you should use your package manager instead.
(Joost: didn't you mean 'equo install lafilefixer' instead of 'install lafilefixer' there?)

It's in Entropy, and it's installed by default:
Code: Select all
[email protected] ~ $ equo search lafilefixer

Tip on equo: always use the --ask and --verbose options as a safety measure, read this first :)

Ofcourse I ment that Reemz.
Allot of people just blindly copy/paste commands without giving it any thought. :lol:
