I`m using 2.6.33 and everything was automatic (with sulfur)... so and my point is check for updates... :) Maybe you have 2.6.33 but is not put in grub, like me. I add the 2.6.33 in grub menu manualy and everything it`s ok. Sorry for the english :)

My thanks to all the SL development team for another outstanding release.

I rolled/upgraded using Entropy last week from the SL 5.1-r1 installation on my new nettop and it works beautifully (apart from LIRC  ).

I missed the hen's foot logo initially, but have to say that Thev00d00's latest artwork is beautiful too. Very tasteful as usual.

Great job as usual!

Sabayon is the best distro I've ever had the pleasure of using!

And the artwork is phenomenal, very professional... I dig it!

Keep up the great work!

Very, very nice release.

I briefly tried the x86_64/KDE release, and the only issues I could spot are:
  • The nvidia driver shipped is broken against Intel VT-D (disable in BIOS as workaround) and this results in black screen / freeze on xorg startup. Obviously that's not your fault, it is just a generic problem with that driver.
  • Neither acpid nor devicekit-power aka upower seems to be running by default (I think that equals in fans not running on some laptop / desktop models - unless of course I missed some piece of software that IS running?)
  • xorg-server is at version 1.6.5. You wrote xorg 7.5 into the release notes, which would be using xorg-server 1.7.0 according to freedesktop.org. I can guess why not the latest xorg-server has been used (presumably because of ATI not updating their drivers), but even if the decision to go with 1.6.5 is right, the announcement is wrong.
Either way, awesome job. Fast boot time, nice theme, and it -of course- still works on all that hardware of mine.

Have a look at lxnay's reply on this thread:

Have a look at lxnay's reply on this thread:
Is there a way to automatically update all 2.6.31 things like virtualbox modules and such to 2.6.33 versions without to much of work? When I did a command from that topic to check my list of modules I was killed by a wall of text and updating this manually would be a ... hassle :E
