Although one serious issue, bluetooth is missing. You know, when the amount of packages included is so high, it'd be best to include this tiny stuff, cause where I live, internet is either weak or non-existent. So people prefer Sabayon to the likes of ubuntu and suse because they require repo-sync n downloads n all. I'd really be hoping to see kdebluetooth included in your 5.1... :)

That's about the "K" version, but I hope you'd figure it out anyway.

Thanks anyhow for this great distro, cheers.

Hi ,
in todays update (Repository revision: 1225) I have noticed that kernel-2.6.30 and nvidia-drivers-185.18.14#2.6.30-sabayon have been removed. That is a pity cause that was the only combination that worked for me on d630 with Nvidia Quadro NVS 135M (rev a1).
On 2.6.31 and nvidia-drivers-185.18.31#2.6.31-sabayon I got only blank screen on X start.

Has anyone got nvidia-drivers-185.18.31#2.6.31-sabayon + linux-sabayon-2.6.31#2.6.31-sabayon working on Nvidia Quadro NVS 135M?

I would greately appreciate help on this problem.

You can install it with equo install x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-185.18.14#2.6.30-sabayon and masked the greater version

I have the same notebook(dell).

seems you are right, I`ll open new thread.
Meanwhile I`ve found this: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2071410

Any idea when/if 185.18.36 is going to by in repositories?

It is already there :). Since yesterday.

$ kde4-config --v
Qt: 4.5.3
KDE: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
kde4-config: 1.0

Seems to work fine.

wow this has improved since i last visited (over 2 years ago)

well i mad a live usb image of 4.2 only to boot up and find that you have another release!

currently downloading at 700kb/s off you bittorent release

Questions:
can gnome and fluxbox be installed side by side (like i can pick which one i want from the GRUB menu)?
when updateds are avaible are they only security updates or will i actually get real updates now?
can i install mutiple instances of the same program, ex: firefox 3.0.12 and 3.5.x?

can in install .deb / .rpm files? i was told i could install any package management application i wanted ALONG with portage true/false?

ohh well ill find out or someone will tell me cant wait to destroy ununtu :D

desktop environments are selected with the session manager, not grub

updates depend on you, you can do rolling, see wiki

package managers are entropy and portage, so no you can't have any package manager, see wiki on package managers
