unetbootin?

Post by msdobrescu » Mon Sep 16, 2019 20:31

Hi, today I've tried half a day to make a bootable thumb drive from an ISO file.
Man, I have two options:
1. I'm totally idiot, even retarded
2. unetbootin is useless
...for I couldn't make a successful setup with it.

For me, the only working tool for the job is dd. And is faster.

Now, who used it and worked lately ... I mean in the last 3-5 years?

Thanks, but for Windows there is Rufus. Etcher is interesting, though. If dd does not work...

I mean, for me, Rufus is enough under Windows - despite I avoid Windows. Too bad is not for Linux.
