Gnome 3.30 and kernel 4.20 when?

Hi,
I don't know if i'm posting in the right section, I simply love gnome and I'm curios to know when will we see gnome 3.30 on sabayon, if i'm correct we still use gnome 3.24, right?

Also I'm curious about when a new kernel will make it in the sabyon-weekly repository, I ask this because the latest kernels add some useful things for my hardware.

Since i'm here I'll conclude with a little rant why the blog on sabayon.org is no more updated? It gives the impression that sabayon is dying.

Thanks in advance for the answers :)

As far as kernels goes, it always takes some time to package them up, and get proper driver support before they can be released. The fact that Sabayon doesn't have kernel 4.20 in the repo yet is business as usual. We're still way ahead of any non-rolling release distro on that front.

As far as gnome goes, since Sabayon is based on Gentoo and we use the portage tree for most of our packages, we're somewhat at the mercy of Gentoo package maintainers, since we don't have enough man-power to wrangle gnome on our own. You can see where Gentoo's at here: https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/gnome-base/gnome It seems to me that the Gentoo Gnome devs are perhaps falling a bit behind.
