Keyboard screen at start [Solved]

Post by Lazydog » Sun Feb 04, 2018 21:01

So I finally rebooted my system and now I have a keyboard right after boot instead of the sddm login screen. I can press any key to get to the login screen but why do I even have a keyboard screen at boot? Anyone else have this issue and if so how do I fix this?

Thnx sabayonino,

Your link was in the right direction. I needed to edit the sddm.conf file to get it back to where I wanted it.

In my computer... i enjoy the keyboard....! I enter the password in this "virtual keyboard" and Bingo!
My doubt is... possible to make the keyboard working in Brazilian Portuguese, instead of
European Portuguese?

If I'm not wrong , you can set x11-keyoboard as :
Show known X11 keyboard mapping layouts

Code: Select all

# localectl list-x11-keymap-layouts
if needed
Show known X11 keyboard mapping models

Code: Select all

# localectl list-x11-keymap-models
Then set your favourite layout

Code: Select all

# localectl set-x11-keymap LAYOUT [MODEL [VARIANT [OPTIONS]]]
i.e.:

Code: Select all

# localectl set-x11-keymap br

see

Code: Select all

# localectl --help
[Che Cos'è Il Calcolo Distribuito (BOINC)

BOINC ready ! Sabayon+BOINC = BILD ,my Sabayon spin :cyclops: - Ready to crunch for the Science everywhere :)

There wasn't on-screen virtual keyboard previously as a standard in KDE... You have to add a new line to /etc/sddm.conf in "[General]":
InputMethod=
