How Do I Get Hamachi Working? [Solved]

Postby Creepysheep123 » Mon May 12, 2014 18:43

Hey everyone,

I am new to Linux in general and don't have much experience using UNIX. I went on rigo application manager and logmein-hamachi through that, yet i still can't get it to run. When i type "/etc/init.d/logmein-hamachi/ start" i get the "* WARNING: logmein-hamachi is already starting" error message...and when i try to use the commands i am told to start hamachi... does anyone know how to fix this? Please help!

You get the error message because Sabayon doesn't use OpenRC anymore but Systemd.
You have to start a service using systemctl
Code: Select all
systemctl start logmein-hamachi.service
or
Code: Select all
systemctl enable logmein-hamachi.service

There's a section about Systemd on the wiki: HOWTO: systemd.
And the Archlinux wiki has a nice overview: systemd - ArchWiki.
