gThumb starting error [Solved]

Postby akernar » Tue Oct 15, 2013 15:32

Hello,

my system is Sabayon CoreCDX with Fluxbox.
uname -a:
Code: Select all
Linux toshiba 3.10.0-sabayon #1 SMP Mon Sep 30 14:24:40 UTC 2013 x86_64 Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU B940 @ 2.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

I've installed gThumb with equo, but it doesn't start. Just a blink on the screen. If I run it in console, the error message is:
Code: Select all
(gthumb:5105): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to register client: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files
Szegmentálási hiba
( last line = segmentation fault)
And it breaks.

I haven't got Gnome, so I haven't got Gnome session manager...
I've searched in the net, but I couldn't solve the problem. GThumb doesn't depend on Gnome, does it?

Thanks in advance!

Has anybody an idea, how I can run gThumb with Fluxbox?

Ooops, I was stupid... I've read that gThumb hasn't gnome-dependencies, but on their homepage stands, that it has!
