Chromium unable to store passwords [Solved]

Postby Antidieu » Sat Aug 31, 2013 0:21

I have Sabayon 13.08 KDE 64-bits installed on my system. After recent updates, Chromium is not able to store my passwords. I've checked Chromium's settings and it's configured to do so but it doesn't even asks for permission to store them, altought it asks for permission to open KWallet when launched for the first time in a session, which is another pain in the ass.

Does anyone else have this issue or know of a way to fix it?

Thanks in advance,
Charles

Just a stupid question ...

Have you looked into the settings of Chromium?

Is the option Offer to save passwords I enter on the web. enabled?

Also, are you logged on into your chrome account?

Just like stated in the original post, I checked Chromium's settings and that option is enabled. It's the first thing I did. Also I'm not logged on into my account.

The only way I found to make Chromium ask for password is to open the wallet first, i.e. before browsing to the site requiring the password. It doesn't work for sites like hotmail or yahoo though.
