Proper way of starting PostgreSQL server using systemd

Postby simonorono » Wed Aug 28, 2013 20:27

Greetings.

When I was an open-rc user I used to start postgresql server using:
Code: Select all
/etc/init.d/postgresql-9.2 start

I just migrated to systemd and there is no service for postgresql; my question:

-What is the proper way to start postgresql server using systemd?
-It is going to be a postgresql.service or something like that in the future?

I made a bug report due to the lack of answer, requesting the inclusion of a .service file in the postgresql.service package.

Here the bug report: https://bugs.sabayon.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4380
