SMplayer can't play a movie on one install [Solved]

Hello,

I have two Sabayon installed, on different machines, both fully updated.
On one of these machines, smplayer doesn't play movies that work on the other machine, in smplayer.
Question is where to look.
One of the anomalies is that on "broken" smplayer, there are no combos to choose the audio and video drivers. There are text boxes, having the same content as on working machine, i.e. xv and alsa (these are default, I didn't even looked there before).

The working SMplayer shows the following info (I've put the relevant info only):

Code: Select all
Software: Nandub v1.0rc2

Video:
Format: XVID
Selected codec: ffodivx

Initial Audio Stream
Selected codec: mpg123

How could I know what's wrong, as reinstalling SMplayer did not fix the issue?

Thank you.

On my installation, smplayer can't playback certain videos but when running mplayer directly, there is no issue.

Imagine that: I've installed smplayer, but mplayer did not come with it...
