These may or may not even relate, Java is still a puzzle to me after all these years...
But – does anyone know why Chromium will let me perform certain functions inside my banking website, and will run the “netvibes.com” RSS login page (damn you, Google), etc., with no problems, while Firefox will not? At least not after the last couple of updates, anyway, before about v.17-18 it was fine. I've looked elsewhere for a while now with no luck, and am hoping someone in our community has some experience with this one.
I currently have this:
- Code: Select all
# eselect java-vm list
Available Java Virtual Machines:
grep: /usr/share/java-config-2/vm/emul-linux-x86-java-1.6: No such file or directory
grep: /usr/share/java-config-2/vm/icedtea-6: No such file or directory
grep: /usr/share/java-config-2/vm/sun-jdk-1.6: No such file or directory
 icedtea-bin-6 system-vm
Maybe they are not properly selected to play together, I'm not sure, do all versions need to agree?
Maybe it's not even a Java issue, I can't figure it out...
I do use No-Script in FF, but I have given permissions to the sites in question, and in any case the settings have not changed in quite a while, and the sites did function normally in the past with No-Script. Just in case, I disabled it for a test, but there was no difference.
Everything else in my system is equo-ed and up to date, and I'm using FF v.19, 3.8.3 kernel.
Thank you, all.
