e17 missing modules

Postby ffa » Mon Mar 18, 2013 20:26

I installed e17 following the guide in the wiki, http://wiki.sabayon.org/index.php?title ... nstall_e17, which is running the command
Code: Select all
equo install --ask @e17
. However, two problems have occured. First, the "shot" module is missing. I read that it has to built with e17, so I want to ensure it's actually missing form the build cmd. And, the "EConnMan" application is missing. I checked equo and only found "ConnMan" which is what "EConnMan" is the interface for.

I recently tried installing from the corecdx install, using
Code: Select all
equo i -av @e17
, but I get a missing dependency error for "libav-0.10.3" which doesn't exist anywhere.

Oh, yeah, thanks for the reminder. I discovered a missing module as well:

so shot/linux-gnu-x86_64-0.17.1/module.so is missing, too.

I installed e17 in the last few days.Very impressive. Nice eye candy. Could do with a few more gadgets. Connman didnt work so just installed nm-applet on top of already installed network manager and set it as a startup program.

as for shot...I already had KDE installed so just use Kscreenshot. Much prefer Dolphin to EFM anyway,so that was handy.

connman works fine.
Just use rc-update/systemctl to disable NetworkManager and enable connman instead.

Additionally install net-misc/econnman for more advanced configuration options in E17.
