phpmyadmin...

Postby sbdsr » Mon Oct 31, 2011 0:52

Ok I installed a lamp setup and for some reason I can't get phpmyadmin to create a new database...

I followed the instructions here...

http://www.unixmen.com/linux-tutorials/ ... toosabayon

When I got to the bottom of these instructions I could not complete this instruction because of Sabayon lacked the directory I needed....

5- Install phpMyAdmin

emerge -av phpmyadmin

You'll need to grant some rights for it to let it do its magic.

mysql -u root -p
< /usr/share/webapps/phpmyadmin/<VERSION>/sqlscripts/mysql/<VERSION>_create.sql

The quoted portion is nowhere to be found...anyone have any suggestions....the only thing I did differently was use entropy and the equo command instead of emerge -av....

Thanks in advance...

You need to replace <VERSION> in that command with the version you installed.

Yes, I know...that's just a cut and paste from the instructions I was using....the version I'm using is 3.4.6 the directory that instruction is pointing too doesn't exist nor does the script...yes, I can create it...but then that's probably going to lead to bigger problems...
