Opera + Flash [Solved]

Postby NoSavy » Thu Oct 06, 2011 12:52

This is great. Opera is now working with flash (using flash 64bit ver.11.0.1.152).
Can anyone say what the problem has been as it was mainly Gentoo and Sabayon that it was failing on.?
I've upgraded today and it was the Nvidia files only, so I'm assuming it was the problem.

Yes, it depends on Nvidia files. I think it's the "nvidia-userspace" package from sabayon. I use now for several month the nvidia-drivers from portage. there is no nvidia-userspace and flash in opera works flawless. So if you have issues with flash + opera in the future, emerge the nvidia-drivers from portage with option "nodeps" and flash in opera will be fine again. Sometimes it works with nvidia-userspace, sometimes not. So I will stay with the portage-variant until this issue is fixed permanently.
