I confirm, now it works. Probably the latest updates fixed it.

good news! but then, if problem is solved you can do one more thing modify tread title name from "krusader kdiff3 'Opening of these files failed' error" to "krusader kdiff3 'Opening of these files failed' error [SOLVED]" and all of us will be happy ....

I have a feeling that might be some cases when it still has the problem.
I need to check more. When I'm sure enough, I change it, as I know the rules and I need to check it too on my list.

BTW, in all these years, did nobody implemented this small feature of marking topics as 'solved' or 'reopened'?

The issue came back.
I try to find when. It doesn't happen all the time.

strange! i checked again and on my system is all ok, krusader and kdiff3 is working without errors! maybe is only for particular files, name issues!? exotic mountpoints!? you can also try kdiff3 alone and see if result is the same ...
