How to build a website locally with sabayon

Postby alle83 » Sun Sep 18, 2011 2:14

Hi, I hope I'm writing in the right section, I'm new to the forum and I really hope you can help me. Before that, let me say that I find Sabayon a great distribution, fast and very "personal", that is, you can customize it so much that's a great fun.

My problem, actually, is that I would like to build a website in local, but since I'm not an expert, I don't know exactly which software I need. I have a guide saying that in Ubuntu, you can download easily all the softwares you need just looking for LAMP package.

Anyone can tell me which programs I have to download from Sulfur, one by one or altogether?

I appreciate your help, thanks anyway.

Code: Select all
equo install dev-lang/php

Code: Select all
equo install www-servers/apache

To auto start the apache webserver:
Code: Select all
rc-update add apache2

Code: Select all
equo installl dev-db/mysql

To configure MySQL databaser server:
Code: Select all
equo config dev-db/mysql

All commands should be executed from a root shell.
For further information I'd like to refer to the Gentoo documentation:
