dolphin doesn't always show what happens when F4 [Solved]

Postby batvink » Mon Aug 15, 2011 23:42

hi all.

it's not happening always, but sometimes
when i open Dolphin filemanager and hit F4 (build-in terminal)
and say, run a script to move or sort files, the job gets done,
but in the main window of Dolphin, nothing happens.
The files/folders are still there.

when i close Dolphin and reopen, or hit F5 (reload)
then the actual changes are visible.

now, it's not really a 'problem'
but is there a way to fix this?
does anyone know why the changes made at the build-in commandline
sometimes are not inmidiately visible in the main window of Dolphin?
thanks in advance..

There isn't a fix for this as far as I could find, its strange as you would think that dolphin would watch for changes in the current directory, but it doesnt seem to, I assume for performance issues, I see they have started a major rewrite of Dolphin ready for 4.8 so that might fix it?
