httrack [Solved]

Postby dhux » Fri Jul 22, 2011 23:32

I am trying to run httrack from the main repository, Sabayon6 G 64bit. Is the version compiled to make use of the gui or strictly command line? I can get at least the help file to display using the terminal. Running from the Applications menu opens a new Firefox tab pointed to

http://sabayon:8080/

with the error - The connection has timed out. The server at http://www.sabayon.com is taking too long to respond.

Is this a firewall issue? or something else?

HTTrack is supposed to load its local files in your browser, but there seems to be some domain name resolution conflicts, independent of distribution. See here: http://forum.httrack.com/readmsg/26481/ ... k+opensuse

Thank you! That link was just what I was looking for. The very last solution on the page fixed my issue. I'm marking it solved.
