This is what I have:

Code: Select all

Sabayon-Laptop karibu # systemctl -l status boinc.service
boinc.service - BOINC Daemon
   Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib64/systemd/system/boinc.service; enabled)
Active: active (running) since Fri 2014-06-13 14:02:20 CST; 26s ago
 Main PID: 21772 (boinc_client)
   CGroup: /system.slice/boinc.service
           ├─21772 /usr/bin/boinc_client --dir /home/karibu/boinc --redirectio
           ├─21850 /usr/bin/nvidia-modprobe
           └─21851 modprobe nvidia

Jun 13 14:02:20 Sabayon-Laptop systemd[1]: Started BOINC Daemon.

In a related matter, I installed BOINC in $HOME and use it without engaging the system software. It does not need to be automatically managed. You can use or delete it without any fuss.

I use BOINC for the Rosetta project.
