convert flac to mp3? [Solved]

Post by gav989 » Tue Jun 08, 2010 8:47

i've used grip to rip all my cds to flac to enjoy when using my computer, but my mp3 player doesn't support flac, so i was looking for some software to convert from flac to mp3

i know there are programs on linux for this, but i was hoping someone could tell me what they use on sabayon, i can't seem to find anything in sulfur or portage

what do you use for this?

thanks

soundkonverter is what I use. I find it a little shakey at times though and it really doesn't like pulling stuff from my network drive.

I'm pretty sure it's in Entropy.

You can try SoundConverter for Gnome.

If you prefer command line, check ffmpeg, the basic way to use it is:

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -i Audio.flac Audio.mp3
