i first tried installing as user, but that did NOTHING as i can not access any flash site that uses flash 9 encoding. so i tried as root, well still no luv. my guess is the default path of /usr/bin/mozilla is not the correct path for

Code: Select all

Please enter the installation path of the Mozilla, SeaMonkey,
or Firefox browser (i.e., /usr/lib/mozilla):
what is the correct path in Sabayon. oh and yes i did a search in this forum for flash and flash 9 but most of the responses were about flash drives and not flash player. also the wiki has NOTHING on flash in its multimedia section or other.

i also tried the following path:

/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox

that did nothing, but did allow me to finish the install with out errors. did not install flash 9 player so i can access sites properly.

I got it figured out on my end: try installing as a normal user and home directory rather than root & I think it'll work

sabayon has flash installed already by default.

to (re)install it:

Code: Select all

# equo install net-www/netscape-flash
