Can I install root on zfs?
If it is possible, what I have to do?
Is there an "howto" which explains the steps to do?
I like to know how I must change /init to recognize the root device '/dev/disk/by-id/ata-VBOX.......-part1' on which I have installed the entire system.
Tanks for your attention and excuse me for my bad english

Never tried myself. Someone going by the user name Necrose99 started a Sabayon Linux Wiki page in 2017 about installing SL on a ZFS root, but never completed it:

https://wiki.sabayon.org/index.php?titl ... n_ZFS_root

Someone named Ben Roberts blogged about 'ZFS testing on Sabayon' in 2019, so you could try contacting him I suppose:

https://blog.benroberts.net/2019/06/zfs ... n-sabayon/

The Gentoo Linux Wiki has a page about ZFS on root, but I don't know how much of that is applicable to SL:

https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/ZFS/root

It might help you, but heed the warning on that page: "This is not step-by-step guide. Also it is considered for experience users, and users with some ZFS experience."
