Before I jump in neck deep...

Post by Mercurybird » Wed Sep 04, 2019 2:11

Going full in with Sabayon. I have a longstanding Windows7 system that I need to keep viable in case I need to boot to it and get information and links from it. The 7 system is on a solid state drive. I want to get that onto another drive on the same system. It is a 500gb drive that it blank right now. So I can then wipe the SSD and put Sabayon on it so I can boot to either at will. I need help with porting my SSD to the SATA.

Thanks a cool million for your help.

If I understood you will wanto how to

"migrate" all your Windows in the SSD Hard disk, to a convencional new HD, further you want to install Sabayon on your SSD, is this?

This is not a Forum for Windows, but first, you need an Windows Program" for "clone" all your Windows in the SSD to the HD.

For example see, "Macrium Reflect" or search for another sofware for cloning Windows.

Thank you for your feedback. I got it installed the way I wanted to do it. It's on my SSD now. And W is on another drive. I really do like this distro.
