OS Startup

Post by Omnomnom9 » Sun Jul 01, 2018 20:25

When the OS starts, it takes a minute or so to before I can use the OS. For example, if I open Rigo it goes black at startup and only after sound is loaded and package repos are checked it would work. But when I remove "firewalld", the OS boot normal and everything is ready. But when I install Anaconda it adds Firewalld as an dependency, is there a way to install it without that?

Thanks in advance

Firewalld is the new firewall, but you can use others, such as UFW.

I dont know if it is possible to install Sabayon without firewalld, but had you tried to "remove" firewalld withour removing the dependencies? For example:

Code: Select all

# systemctl stop firewalld.service
# systemctl disable firewalld.service
# systemctl mask firewalld.service
# equo rm -av --configfiles --nodeps firewalld
the last command can remove the package firewalld, without removing any other package.
