Im not able to make dolphin as my default file manager

Postby davestephans » Mon Oct 23, 2017 5:03

I love the simplicity and elegance of dolphin. I emerged it but am not able to make it as the default file manager. I found a tutorial on the internet according to which changing the directory and the system directory's mime types in the file association menu and in the inode sub-menu would make the trick. But it doesn't. After changing them I get an error message when i try to open the system folders like Home o Remote Places "Home is a folder but a file was expected." The archiving tool also stops working when I do this. All in one, I was not able to make dolphin as my default file manager.
If somebody on this forum knows how to do this properly, please let me know.

Thanks!
