https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... -in-apache

Any recent, generic instructions for linux to get ssl working should work. Nothing about it will be Sabayon specific, but some instructions will be application specific (you didn't really specify what you are using, but generally apache is used).

Apache+SSL is already enable in apache conf.
$ grep APACHE /etc/conf.d/apache2
# and other features of apache using the APACHE2_OPTS line. Every module should
APACHE2_OPTS="-D DEFAULT_VHOST -D INFO -D SSL -D SSL_DEFAULT_VHOST -D LANGUAGE -D PHP"

You must configure your vhost server
/etc/apache2/vhosts.d/00_default_ssl_vhost.conf

Code: Select all

[...]
<VirtualHost _default_:443>
        ServerName your-site.org
        Include /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/default_vhost.include
        ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/ssl_error_log
[...]
then you can manage your private ssl-certificate (via openssl) or take a free cert. https://certbot.eff.org/

restart apache service after changes

Is your certificate provided by ssl authority ?
Or you have build it by yourself (Via openssl command)
