Older gnome looked better?

Post by luiz » Tue Jun 23, 2015 2:42

Hello all,
I dont know if it is just me, but since an upgrade few months ago, my sabayon (gnome) is not as beautiful as it used to be. Is it just mine or was it a general change in gnome? Cause I have simpler icons (actually it looks too simple) and the "almost tablet" interface was replace by a traditional one. Since I have a touch screen lenovo, I still prefer the older interface.
Is that the expected result of the upgrade, or something that has broken in my particular case?
And how to revert it to previous interface.
Here are some screenshots of the newer interface... (something seems wrong)

Hey, we can't see your images. You need to upload them to an image hosting site and link them here. If you don't know any, I suggest http://imgur.com/

The sabayon theme was changed - https://plus.google.com/+EttoreDiGiacin ... MzexX2oJCE

you can use the gnome control center to make all the gui changes you want to make, http://gnome-look.org/ has lots of great stuff too.

Wolfden, I think you thought of gnome-tweak-tools instead of gnome control center, isn't it?
The gnome-tweak-tools has indeed the icons and themes and other stuff related to fine configuration.
Gnome control center has just "very basic" configuration choices.

Just my 2 cents ...

Yeah, you can just hit the Window key and type "Tweak" and then change it back, but should the distribution change the Default theme to something other than "Default"? And if I've already set it, why is it changing it? What is this, Windows 10?
Sabayon needs to leave my settings alone!
