Distrowatch award

Post by helterskelter » Sat Jan 06, 2007 15:26

I was pleased to see that Sabayon Linux has received an award from Distrowatch.

Nice one guys! :D

From what I have read regarding developements at the Farm I might be jumping ship for Sabayon as default installation....

The reward is well deserved.
Any AMD64 bit users should give this distro a try. They maybe surprised to find an OS that has all multimedia working straight out of the box. Absolutely brilliant.

Well done guys.

I think so too, this deserves the award.
It seems they put a lot into getting hardware detection to work.
Every thing seems to work smoothly when you tweak it up a little bit.
It has all the benefits of gentoo with out the painful install, and setup.

And, I'm just using the miniEdition.

Awesome news! May I add: Heartiest congratulations to Fabio and the whole Sabayonlinux team. I will probably shortly switch to SabayonLinux on all my home machines.

You are doing a great job, guys! (But then again, you knew that, right ? ;-)

Despite all my quibbles ... this is an amazing distro ... i did not think the 3.2 to 3.25 step would be worth it but by and large it fixed the issues i had (though netbeans no longer works ... but we're getting there)
