Booting Sabayon with LVM for the first time.

Postby flounders » Thu Apr 10, 2014 19:41

I just installed Sabayon 14.01 on my computer yesterday. The problem is I used my old CentOS 6 LVM space for /. I did reformat the partition, but the kernel is having trouble finding it/booting with it. I used the 14.01 KDE live image to install, and was wondering what steps I need to take make it bootable. Initially I had to give grub.cfg the right UUID for /boot and then make sure the kernel filename matched what was in GRUB (initially it didn't). Now the kernel dumps upon attempting to boot with root=/dev/mapper/vg_stevenw-LogVol00 Any ideas?
