i have two laptops. one is a thinkpad x220 and the other is a thinkpad t430u.
the t430u is a 14inch and the x220 is a 12inch. both have the same resolution of 1366x768.
Both laptops show the same results:
Code: Select all
[email protected] ~ $ xdpyinfo | grep dimensions dimensions: 1366x768 pixels (361x203 millimeters) [email protected] ~ $ xdpyinfo | grep resolution resolution: 96x96 dots per inch
well on the x220 the Gnome3 windows borders look much cleaner and are smaller as if portraying a higher resolution although still the same as the t430u.
on the t430u i have to shrink the fonts a bit to fit more on the screen while on the x220 i dont really have to.
why are things uglier on the t430u and what can i do to fix this "fitting more on the screen" feeling?
i am just trying to figure out whats going on here.
