Can't view ntfs as a regular account but can view as root

Hi. I've followed lxnay post: emerge ntfs-policy and i've got this message:

Calculating dependencies... done!

* GNU info directory index is up-to-date.

Still I can't access my ntfs partitions. If I log as root, I can't change permissions to allow regular account to view ntfs.

Any ideas? By the way this is my fstab contents

/dev/hda7 / ext3 defaults,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/hda8 /home ext3 defaults,user_xattr 1 2
/dev/hda1 /media/hda1 ntfs defaults 0 0
/dev/hda5 /media/hda5 ntfs defaults 0 0
/dev/hda6 swap swap defaults 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0

Thanks
