What for to use --relaxed option?

Post by apiaio » Sat Aug 27, 2011 18:20

Hi there.
Maybe stupid question, but I did not find explanation in Sabayon Wiki for the --relaxed option in command

Code: Select all

equo install entropy sulfur equo --relaxed
I used to be Gentoo user and Gentoo learned me not to run any important command unless I am not absolutely sure what it means.
Thanks

It prevents a huge deptree to be pulled in.
This is useful on a fresh installation where you always want to update the entropy code as soon as possible. Since most likely that fresh install has many updates, we want to be able to grab a new Entropy version without having to install 100+ package updates first.
