Problem booting live DVD

Postby durundal » Wed Dec 06, 2006 5:44

Currently on my computer i have no hard drive, when i try to boot up Sabayon 3.2 and says "Operating System not found" (the typical response when I boot up my computer without a hard drive or live cd)

I haven't had this problem with any LiveCD or LiveDVD distribution and I have used quite a few.

It did however boot once when i plugged in a usb drive with ubuntu installed to it. Unfortunately it froze and required me to restart my system, now ubuntu loads before the DVD can. In the bios I do have it set so that the cd/dvd drive boots first so i don't know what is going on.

Does sabayon require a hard drive to load up or is this a bug? Is it just me? Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure that you're dvd-reader is selected as primary boot.

if not primary boot, just hit the F12 or w/e button your bios uses to get you to boot off from the cd :P
