Hello,

I've heard that latest version of SL 5.5 has support "manual partiotion" in text part of Anaconda installer. When I've downloaded SpinBase 5.5 and try to install one, I didn't find "manual partition" item. Sadly, It doesn't has manual partition yet. I love Sabayon and I say that Sabayon is the best linux distro! but without this simple feature like split partition manually, it makes distro very unusable. I and other people wish to see this feature in next releases. Please, add manual partition in text part of Anaconda.

Sorry my poor English.

Best Regards.

Are you jocking! I've downloaded CoreCDX 5.5 and tried to install one but there is no "manual partition" yet. I know that it possible to split partition manually in graphical mode. For many reasons text installer is better then graphical one. I don't understand you why you removed manual partition from Anaconda. It shold look like this Image

Use CoreCDX = Use the Graphical Installation.

Anaconda (Fedora) removed the option to partition from the text installer, that is beyond our control. Either setup the partitions a head of time or use the Graphical Installer as lxnay pointed out.

"Very unusable"? Really? It's hardly a big deal. Personally, I always prefer to fire up SystemRescueCd and use GParted to partition and format manually before running any installer (graphical or textual) anyway, irrespective of whether or not the installer has partitioning included.

The guy may want to read the description of SpinBase releases (only version where graphical install is not provided for obvious reasons).
I smell trolling.

I've already spoken about this on #sabayon: could be possible to use Arch installer for the textual counterpart and keep the Fedora one for GUI :?:

I'm not willing to support two codebases. Text is dead, any computer out there can do vesa 800x600. We're not in 1993.

Gotcha!
I know that you and the rest of dev team have always a lot of work to do (and you're in a very few), even though you're able to mantain Sabayon, keepin' it at theese levels 8)
