yup, ktorrent here, now that we get to mention the clients.

Anyone any idea why the type of client would make any difference in speed of the download?

Allrighty; so you mean one can configure and set options in speed that are not in, lets say ktorrent? I'll have to check out azureus first then. 8)

It was just a guess, but I know when I use plain old bittorrent vs. azureus - azureus will start downloading sooner and will download faster.

I haven't used Ktorrent so I don't know.

As for now I can only say WOW for what i have seen of azureus!

I had started "downing" the sabayon 3.1 dvd with ktorrent, and was at about 25 %.
Stopped ktorrent as soon as i started azureus. It started reading what ktorrent had already done, and resumes the torrent.... In french they say "chapeau" as if describing the gesture of taking ones hat off.

These programmers really know where their towels are :alien: (or at least they make it look like it)

well, i finished downloading sabayon linux 3.1 x86 dvd and i did seed for a while

3.1 is the best release ever and far the best linux distro i ever tried
