The latest stable version of the Linux kernel is: 2.6.18 2006-09-20 03:57 UTC F V VI C Changelog
The latest prepatch for the stable Linux kernel tree is: 2.6.19-rc1 2006-10-05 03:27 UTC V C Changelog

When the stable changes to .19 and right after they get gentoo-sources, then we'll have .19 in the chroot ;)

I would really be one happy camper if you could add a boot option where one can specify to boot an installed system on the HD (point out where ny installed systems root is). The reason I need this is I have an encrypted windows partion on my hd with boot logon l/p which prevents me from putting grub on the mbr (also it's a company laptop so I must have the encryption).

This feature can be found on a Zenwalk cd where I can specify the following to get my system up and running:
sata root=/dev/hda3 noinitrd ro vga=0x342

"sata" would be replaced with "sabayon" of course...
Any chance for an option like this for the 3.2 release?

great that you decided to go for a re-spin/0.1 release.

couple of things i would love to see:
> new KDE menu as seen in SUSE 10.2
> better organisation of the menu as seen in SUSE 10.2
> Scorched3D - http://www.scorched3d.co.uk/
> a Sabayon equivalent to SAX so that i can find a GUI to manipulate graphics settings
> better USB peripheral support
> KDE 3.5.5.
> Koffice 1.6
whatever does or does not make the cut I am looking forward to it.

Hi dear Team,

- Would like all the partitions automatically automounted at boot up with KDE and not only showed in the storage media (or maybe an option with a checkbox at the install time)

- An option to enable/disable XGL and/or AIGLX after the login in

:D

would it be possible to have /boot formatted as xfs?
Now the installer says my bootpartition can only be ext2 or ext3.
Is this an anaconda thing or a gentoo issue?

Kind regards

Kernel support for wireless USB cards such as Ralink rt73.

Also an option to boot with or without XGL/Beryl (or an easy switch to make it go on or off)

Automounting of Windows partitions

On DVD install, giving options to install certain oprtional software, rather than all at once

gnome

Postby cooldude » Thu Oct 19, 2006 23:45

gnome 2.16 with the ubuntu control center, and ubuntu version of slab will be nice. (gnome 2.17 development started already) I love Gnome but dont like ubuntu.

i know i could allways unmask and upgrade using portage, however gentoo gnome devs take forever to release stable gnome packages and now with the announcement that Spder is gone we gnome freaks are screwed .

I am getting some free time coming up in november and was thinking about re-mastering a Sabayon mini with Gnome only. Lxnay how hard would that be?

Grazzie.
