3.4f released?

Post by ashley194 » Fri Sep 07, 2007 8:50

Noticed on that there's a 3.4f iso, does that mean it's been released or is it an unfinished iso :? Needless to say I downloaded it last night, just in case it has been released

I believe it's finished, but it's not announced until it's availible on enough mirrors to distribute the server traffic more evenly. I noticed the same thing with 3.4e.
Downloaded it two days ago and made a minimal fluxbox install yesterday. Haven't had time to test it yet though.

The other mirrors have the MD5 sum files for it, so they must be in the process of having it uploaded. I'm downloading it right now. What a great Friday surprise! :D

One should not be downloading it till announced, all the bandwidth is needed for syncing of the mirrors. Than you guys wonder why the mirrors get screwed up by using all the bandwidth before it is announced.

Have some respect and wait for the announcement so the mirrors can all get populated making the downloads better for everyone.

Ok. I've cancelled my download and will wait until the official word is out.
Also, how long does it usually take before Linux stores start offering the new version?
