Some things lately

Postby msdobrescu » Sat Aug 02, 2014 6:22

Hello,

I use Sabayon since version 6. The same install, sometimes fixed if something happened.
I use KDE and some Gnome apps, gparted and easytag.
I have the following I don't know where did they come from.
On two systems, at boot time, it stays a little to ask me for the keyboard.
Lately, it opens a Gnome application, titled "Gnome15" - g15-desktop-ser.
How could I get rid of these?

Thanks.

Is a bug,an no compatibility between keymap and the new kernels.
you can remove the keymap entries in the boot line, in the grub.cfg file.

all Sabayons uses XDM, Not remove it !

instead, MATE uses lightdm and GNOME used GDM.

for use GDM in mate, not remove xdm support, install the package GDM, then change "lightdm" to gdm in the file:

/etc/conf.d/xdm

seems to me that your problem is not the Login Screen, but the AT driver. Proprietary ATI Catalyst Drivers are somewhat difficult in Sabayon.
i have an tutorial, that i published, but it in Portuguese Language.

for install the drivers, the easier manner is this:
