Nvidia 340.107 + Kernel 4.14 and Xorg 1.20

How to install correctly the Nvidia 340.107 driver? I know about the problem About xorg and Kernel 5, but according to the arch linux wiki (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA), only the kernel version is having a problem.

Knowing this, I made the change to Kernel version 4.14, installed the 340.107 driver and did the procedures cited in the Sabayon wiki about eselect's. I removed the nouveau module, and upped the nvidia module.

Until then all right, I start Sabayon, I enter the system, but not give 10 seconds the screen goes off and simply hangs the system, can not press the keys ALT + (F2 F3 F4 F5) and so on.
The nvidia driver enables 3D which makes my machine much better, nouveau even runs, but I have problems with HD videos (which I use a lot).

THANX!!!

I dont have NVIDIA at momento, but in a related issue, but in arch.... seems that also this Xorg not works.

In Gentoo the kernel 4.15 not works...

https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-8196760.html

the solution that seems to me... using very old xorg version, very old kernel version and the driver... In Sabayon, mask the kernel and the driver to no more upgrade....

please, save a copy of the driver NVIDIA 340, since their support will finished in the begin of 2020
